The South Charlotte Sports Report is excited to offer what we believe is one of the top basketball camps in the area. Over the last few years, The South Charlotte Sports Report has hosted over 20 basketball camps. With each camp, we see more and more return customers. Plain and simple, our basketball camp focuses on the development of basketball fundamentals. Without a strong fundamental base, a basketball player will be limited in how far they can advance.
Under the leadership of Ardrey Kell High School Head Coach and former Davidson College basketball assistant coach Mike Craft and veteran Youth basketball coach Tripp Roakes we provide a well qualified staff of coaches to work with your children. In only four years, Coach Craft has taken Ardrey Kell to a Sectional Championship and a Conference Championship in the very difficult Southwestern 4A Conference. He is considered by many to be the top high school coach in Mecklenburg County.
Each child will receive instruction on shooting, moving without the ball, dribbling, defense, passing and rebounding. We maintain a low coach to camper ratio allowing the campers to get to know all the coaches on a first name basis. We also strive to keep campers in the same groups with their friends and other players their age. Our camps are designed to place campers in position to succeed inside the camp and beyond.
In addition to other high school coaches, we will be joined by college athletes from the area that are eager to pass their skills on. Many of these college players once played at the local recreation associations and schools in the area!
The South Charlotte Sports Report Basketball Camp is also designed to provide players of all ages and abilities the chance to experience success on the basketball court! Each player is placed into a position that will allow for maximum enjoyment of their week of basketball camp. Based on the last three summer camps, we expect an early sell-out, so sign up fast!

This camp within a camp is designed to provide an intense level of instruction to prepare the camper for the middle and high school tryout experience.
